Joan Rivers must be smiling from heaven and wearing her designer best gearing up for the return of Fashion Police. Comedian and My Life on the D List star Kathy Griffin, known for her biting sense of humor, is set to replace the deceased legend/icon of comedy when the show returns on January 12, 2015. Griffin shared a long-standing friendship and a strong professional relationship with Joan Rivers.
Fashion Police will no longer air weekly but as a special during award shows and other big red carpet worthy events. Griffin will join Fashion Police co-hosts Melissa Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic. It’s not known if the lone male disser of divas,George Kotsiopoulos, will be back. Griffin is a perfect replacement for the practically irreplaceable Rivers. The two women shared a comic sensibility built on fearless flair. And neither ever met a blistering assessment she wouldn’t immediately utter.
