Country singer Eric Church will perform from his album The Outsiders on Austin City Limits. The one-hour concert will air Saturday, November 15 at 9pm on PBS. The sunglassed crooner will sing 12 of his hits including Creepin and Drink in My Hand. Church is known to rely heavily on guitars, which makes him a hybrid of sorts. His influences include Hank Williams, Jr., Merle Haggard, Metallica and AC/DC.
On Austin City Limits, Church will perform his song Springsteen which the audience sings along to. It’s a Church classic paying tribute to Bruce Springsteen and all the memories Springsteen songs evoke for the 37-year-old from small town Granite Falls, North Carolina. Here’s the last refrain from Springsteen: Funny how a melody sounds like a memory / Like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night / Springsteen, Springsteen, oh, Springsteen.” That’s when the audience comes in, they sing a litany of “Woah-oh-oh-ohs.”
