Two-time Grammy winner Colbie Caillat said she knew she wanted to be a singer at the age of 11, when she heard Lauryn Hill sing Killing Me Softly. Caillat talks about her beginnings and her future with US Weekly. Turns out Caillat is a homebody. She revealed “the thought of going out on tour is just the worst thing in the world to me because that means I have to leave my dogs and my house and my comfort zone.” Don’t worry, she’s not just dialing it in on stage. She says once she’s on the road with her band and performing for her fans, she loves it. “It’s just a different world, a different lifestyle.”
Speaking on lifestyle, Caillat also mentioned that she’d like to start her own vegan clothing line, one that is not produced in a way that harms animals. She might want to introduce herself to supermodel Christie Brinkley – Brinkley’s launching a vegan skincare line next year, and knows a thing or two about fashion.
