The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene the farm girl) is one of many in the ensemble cast of the film Reach Me. Reach Me follows a group of 12 people brought together by a self-help book written by a reclusive ex-football coach played by Tom Berenger. Sylvester Stallone stars as Gerald, an editor who assigns a journalist (Kevin Connolly) to get the scoop. Connolly’s character falls in love with Lauren Cohan’s character along the way.
Reach Me is written and directed by John Herzfeld (Sly’s longtime friend and co-star in Cobra). Sly’s Expendables 3 co-stars Kelsey Grammer and Terry Crews are also in the cast, as is rapper Nelly, Danny Aiello (Moonstuck, Do The Right Thing) who plays a priest and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) who plays a newly released inmate. It’s like Crash, but even more heavy-handed with moral messages. And without racial tension. In theaters November 21.
