Amie Logan, a mother in Kansas, has started a petition at Change.org to get Babies ‘R’ Us to pull the Kardashian Kids clothing line off its shelves. She believes the items including a $23 leatherette skirt for one- and two-year-old girls “promotes bad behavior.” Logan writes: “I don’t want my child to grow up to be a Sex Tape star.” Logan believes her petition has a chance as the company (Toys ‘R’ Us) recently removed Breaking Bad toys after a mother complained that they promote drug use. “If the toys are damaging so is the clothing,” Logan pointed out.
On the petition page, a mother from Michigan wrote about the Kardashian family: “Just the idea that their brand would be part of Babies “R” Us makes me not want to shop there – ever again.” Another mom from Missouri wrote, “Maybe we should focus on healthy family values at home and stop idolizing these people.” We wonder what the moms think about Heidi Klum’s ‘Truly Scrumptious” collection at Babies ‘R’ Us and Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku at Target. Is it about celebrities in general, or just celebrities with no particular talent?
