Val Chmerkovskiy won America over way back in Dancing With the Stars season 4 in an unforgettable dance off with his older brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Val parlayed that moment into numerous memorable appearances, eventually partnering with Disney Channel star Zendaya for a second-place finish in season 16. This year Val teams with Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish in what looks like it could be the biggest season yet for the indestructible DWTS.
If ever an amateur brought ready-made dancer’s legs to DWTS, it’s Janel Parrish. Could those legs take Val Chmerkovskiy beyond where Zendaya couldn’t? All the way to the top? Talking with US Weekly Val seemed to have only one big fear among the competition–and that’s legendary stoner Tommy Chong. “Tommy Chong‘s got the illest hip action I’ve ever seen, for sure,” Val told the magazine. Still he said, putting on his game face, “people have really high expectations for Janel, obviously, so I want to exceed those expectations.”
