The provocative new TV drama Satisfaction focuses on the marriage of one couple (Neil and Grace Truman) and questions “What do you do when having it all is not enough?” It turns out Neil and Grace tend to make some shocking and unconventional choices which inevitably affect their musically-inclined teenage daughter Anika. Played by Michelle DeShon, Anika and her talented boyfriend Mateo (Leon Thomas) want to skip college and go on the road and perform their music.
DeShon didn’t know how to play a guitar before auditioning for Satisfaction but gives a lot of credit to Thomas for helping her with the music aspect of her role. Thomas has been performing for years. He began his acting career on Broadway at 10 as young Simba in The Lion King, and starred in the Nickelodeon hit series Victorious with Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice. The season finale of Satisfaction, which airs Thursday, September 18, 10/9c, closes with an original song, a duet called “Come Clean,” performed by DeShon and Thomas. (It’s available now on iTunes.)
