Before marrying Hollywood star Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes (Dawson’s Creek, Batman Begins) confessed to having poster of Cruise in her bedroom as a teen. She said she used to dream of one day marrying the Top Gun actor. Holmes was 26 when Cruise, 42, proposed in 2005. They had a child together, Suri, and then divorced in 2012.
The bedroom poster plays a role in the latest Hollywood age-gap romance, too. Academy Award winning-actress Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook), 24, is reportedly dating Chris Martin, 37, lead singer of the band Coldplay. (Martin recently, famously, uncoupled from his wife, another Oscar winner, Gwyneth Paltrow.) This week Lawrence showed up at a Coldplay concert in Los Angeles and was spotted singing along to all the songs. There’s a rumor that she had a poster of Chris Martin in her bedroom, not too long ago.
