Chris Rock and the cast of his latest film, Top Five, are busy promoting the comedy at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Rock directs himself as Andre Allen, a comedian turned film star who’s reexamining his career and decides he wants to be a “serious” actor. Top Five also stars Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer, and SNL player Jay Pharoah, among many others. (Before being released, the film was formerly titled Finally Famous.) Oh yeah, and hip-hop moguls Kanye West and Jay Z co-produced.
While Kanye West and Jay Z weren’t in Toronto for the festival, Pharoah was on hand and dishing out impersonations of Jay Z, Yeesus and Chris Rock himself. Knowing he was playing to a Canadian crowd, Pharoah also threw in a little dose of Toronto-born Drake too.
