Sia is the Australian singer/songwriter behind the hit Chandelier. The video for the song is up for the 2014 Video of the Year and Best Choreography at MTV’s Video Music Awards this weekend. The 38-year-old Sia has collaborated with everyone in the biz from Eminem (Beautiful Pain) to Katy Perry (Double Rainbow) to Beyonce (Pretty Hurts). The single Chandelier was Sia’s first number one hit on the US Dance Club Play chart. The video features dancer Maddie Ziegler of Dance Moms.
In June, Sia became engaged to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang who directed “The Story Behind Happy by Pharrell Williams.” (Happy is competing against Sia’s Chandlier for 2014 Video of the Year.) Sia and Lang exchanged vows earlier this month at her Palm Springs, California home, where we imagine at least one VMA Moonman statue will soon reside.
