Add to that the fact that Fury Road is directed by Mad Max creator George Miller and the stakes get even higher. Comments at YouTube reflect the heat involved in anything to do with the Mad Max franchise, which many fans consider sacred territory. To someone who comments “Another reboot/remake…no thanks Hollywood” you find responses like “moron, this is a true sequel from the man who made the original trilogy.” The trilogy is the series of films that became a household word, just like their star, Mel Gibson.
