Country music star Carrie Underwood is never afraid to shock her fans — not by what she thinks, where she appears, or what she does to keep her face beautiful.
Underwood has a loyal fan base which leans toward the conservative side of the political aisle. Though she is a practicing Evangelical Christian, Underwood has sometimes shocked and disappointed her more devout fans by voicing liberal opinions — more liberal than those of traditional Evangelicals anyway — regarding issues including same-sex marriage.
The country star once said plainly: “I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.”
Still, despite her unpredictability, some Underwood fans were still surprised to hear that Underwood had agreed to appear on the Howard Stern Show — as the famous “shock jock” Stern is a well-known liberal.
One Underwood fan wrote: “This is very shocking! Never would I have thought she’d go on that ‘smut’ of a show!” Another chimed in and told Underwood: “You are too classy for that. Don’t stoop to his level.”
Still another Underwood fan said “I am very disappointed to know she is willing to be on his show” while Stern fans, on the other hand, are matching their dismay. “Can’t stand her,” writes one. “Howard can usually make anyone interesting, but not her.”
So while some of Underwood’s fans and Stern’s fans weren’t thrilled with the cross-promotion, Stern and Underwood seemed to enjoy themselves — and the conversation produced some candid moments. (Underwood’s appearance on The Howard Stern Show is not coincidental — she is promoting her own SiriusXM channel, Carrie’s Country, coming this June.)
On the show, Underwood tried to reach out to both very different fan bases by singing two of her songs (‘Blown Away’ and ‘She Don’t Know’) and the Ozzy Osbourne song, ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home.’
Carrie was on Howard Stern today. I think this is the first time I have ever heard her talking about facial procedures

You need to subscribe to SiriusXM in order to hear her sing, but above is a snippet of their conversation about beauty and Botox. Underwood reveals to Stern: “I do like some botox.”
Stern tells her, “you don’t need it!”
Note: Carrie’s Country will “highlight her friends, favorites, and influences, workout hits, and ‘Savior Sunday’ – a full day of inspirational music including Carrie’s own gospel catalogue.”
