The Season 17 premiere episode of Top Chef, “It’s Like They Never Left!”, is set at the historic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. There, hosts Tom Colicchio and Padma Lakshmi kick off an intense battle between 15 of the competition’s fiercest challengers.
The day before the premiere, Padma wrote that although “It feels very strange to promote anything right now” she hopes the show will provide “some small comfort while we’re all hunkering down in quarantine.”
