The pop star Katy Perry has parlayed her talent and celebrity into a role that now goes well beyond the entertainment landscape. Once associated in the public mind as much with dancing sharks as with charitable activities, Perry is these days still a star, but also an business entrepreneur and an activist.
In the photo above Katy poses with Prince Charles (The Prince of Wales) who named her an ambassador for The British Asian Trust Children’s Protection Fund. For a lot of people Katy Perry, a pop princess, was giving major blond gleaming Princess Diana vibes in the photo.
Katy writes: “So pleased to be appointed by HRH The Prince of Wales as ambassador for @thebritishasiantrust Children’s Protection Fund. In my role, I will primarily focus my spotlight on helping find solutions to end child trafficking.”
Yes, Katy looks every bit the princess. But it’s the 21st century and Instagram has its own lingo — and so of course everybody writes: “QUEEN!“
