Teenage superstar singer Angelina Jordan is returning to America’s Got Talent on its spin-off show, The Champions. On the Season 2 premiere (January 6), in front of judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and new judge Alesha Dixon, Angelina will perform again with the hope of advancing to the next round.
Prior to her reappearance on America’s Got Talent, the 13-year-old jazz singer from Los Angeles had the opportunity to sing one of her favorite songs for legendary music producer Quincy Jones. Legendary, you say? How about Jones produced Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
In the video above, when Angelina hits the high note in the 1931 song “Dream a Little Dream of Me,” the 86-year-old Jones, encourages her from his wheelchair and says, “Yes, darlin’.” It’s one encounter Angelina will never forget.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Mondays at 8 pm on NBC. [Get it all on your phone with NBC UNIVERSAL app available here. Download is FREE.]
