NFL football quarterback Josh Rosen is getting ready for the NFL 2019-2020 season with the Miami Dolphins. The 22-year-old California kid was the first true freshman to ever start at quarterback for the UCLA Bruins in a season opener. Rosen was traded in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals to the Dolphins.
While some Dolphins fans are calling him “the next Dan Marino“, others have been more critical.
When Rosen posted the video above of him making a backwards basketball shot and modestly shrugging, some were quick to point out that it wasn’t full court. Give the guy a break, right?
It’s no surprise to Rosen’s family that the 6’4″ quarterback is deft at many sports. His father was a nationally ranked ice skater and his mother played lacrosse at Princeton. Plus, Rosen grew up playing tennis. At 12, he was the No. 1-ranked player for his age group in Southern California. Right before high school, he switched from tennis to football.
The Miami Dolphins play the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday, August 22 at 8 pm on FOX. [BONUS: Stream anyFOX show through the FOX NOW: Live & On Demand app here. Download is FREE.]
