Former Basketball Wives star Angel Brinks has turned herself into a successful fashion designer. She’s become a go-to designer for hip hop celebrities including Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Lil Kim, Rihanna, and K.Michelle, among others. When forced to pick one favorite client, Angel says Lil Kim, who Angel says, “Knows what she wants.” The one dress she’s most recognized for is called Juliet, which Cardi B wore for a performance. “Then everyone just started copying that,” says Angel.
Note for fans of Basketball Wives, Angel — who was on Season 4 in 2015 — says she quit “because I couldn’t sleep at night.” When asked who she keeps in touch with she mentions Jackie Christie, Draya Michele, and Tami Roman.
