In the Season 4 premiere of Below Deck Mediterranean, “Excuse Your French,” Captain Sandy Yawn embarks on another season in the French Riviera. Hannah Ferrier returns as chief stew, and after enduring heartbreak, João Franco returns with a promotion as Bosun. The new face in the kitchen belongs to Mila Kolomeitseva, the first female chef in Below Deck history. The Le Cordon Bleu graduate knows how to serve French/Mediterranean cuisine. However, on the very first day of the charter, she immediately falls ill.

Mila’s illness forces the crew to rally and help get the boat in shape in time for the first charter. When the first guests arrive and Chef Mila is still battling illness, according to Bravo, “Captain Sandy and the crew wonder if she’ll be able to perform her most basic duties.” Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 pm on Bravo.
