On the second episode of the televised obstacle race competition Million Dollar Mile, “No One Can Beat Me,” a former college quarterback tries to outrun the youngest Spartan Race winner in history. The former quarterback is 28-year-old Kellen Pagel from Strongsville, Ohio. The youngest Spartan Race winner is 20-year-old Veejay Jones aka “The Prodigy” whose six-times-a-week workouts consist of running mountains, weight training and bouldering. Oh, and he can run a sub-five-minute mile and dead-lift twice his body weight. (Gulp.)
[Kellen’s dad Mike Pagel on the Colts]
The 6’3” Pagel played college football at the University of Massachusetts (2009-2011). He’s the son of former NFL quarterback Mike Pagel who played a total of 12 NFL seasons: with the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts (1982-1985), Cleveland Browns (1986-1990), Los Angeles Rams (1991-1993), and also the Massachusetts Marauders in 1994. (He played college football at Arizona State.) Fun facts about Mike Pagel: he was the last Colt to wear #18 before Peyton Manning, and his brother Karl Pagel played baseball for the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians. Million Dollar Mile airs Wednesdays at 9pm on CBS, right after Survivor and right before SEAL Team. [Related: Who Is 6’2″ Commentator Maria Taylor on ‘Million Dollar Mile’?]
