In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “Part 33,” Stone (Philip Winchester) prosecutes the case of Annabeth Pearl, a young, beautiful blond who killed her abusive husband. When Lt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) struggles with her responsibility to testify against her, Stone warns Benson, “Keep your bleeding heart out of my courtroom.” Rollins (Kelli Giddish) agrees with Stone. She says of Pearl, “She chose to end that man’s life.” The case will “pit cop against cop.”
Husband killer Annabeth Pearl is portrayed by actress Amy Rutberg. She’s known for her roles on NCIS: New Orleans (“The Angel” who tried to assassinate agent Dwayne Pride), Marvel’s Daredevil (Marci Stahl), and as a variety of characters — including Donald Trump’s pal Stormy Daniels — on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit airs Thursdays at 10 pm on NBC, right after Will & Grace.
