Makeup Junkie Bags is a line of handmade lay-flat cosmetic and travel bags. Each bag has an elongated medial zipper that allows the bag to gape open providing easy access and avoiding the chance of everything falling out of the bag while open. Each Makeup Junkie (MJ) bag (prices range from $30 to $50) is characterized by a signature brightly colored zipper and suede tassel. The founder and designer of Makeup Junkie Bags, former speech pathologist Meredith Jurica from the small town of Willis, Texas (population 6,370), is pitching her patented product on Shark Tank on January 20.
Now that Jurica has turned her makeup bags into a million dollar business, she’s able to give back. She said, “Last year (2017) I donated more than I actually took home.” She explained, “When God gives you a million dollar business out of the clear blue sky it’s like I never want a day to go by where He doesn’t know how much I appreciate all the blessings.” New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC.
