In the Speechless holiday episode “J-I–JINGLE T-H–THON”, a Christmas tree fire leads Maya (Minnie Driver) to tell a small lie with big consequences. Meanwhile, her son JJ (Micah Fowler) encourages Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) to stand up to his sisters Kiki and Kendall, who happens to be 6’5″ tall.
Kiki is portrayed by Niecy Nash. The Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress is currently starring in CLAWS as nail salon owner Desna. Nash is also well recognized for her roles on Scream Queens (Denise), Getting On (Didi), Reno 911! with Yarbrough! (T.T.), and in films including Selma (Jesse Jackson’s wife Richie), among others. Kendall is portrayed by four-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and three-time WNBA MVP basketball star Lisa Leslie. This isn’t Leslie’s acting debut. You can see her on the big screen in Uncle Drew as Betty Lou. Speechless airs Fridays at 8:30 pm on ABC, right after Fresh Off the Boat and right before Child Support.
