The protagonist of the Hallmark movie Christmas Everlasting is New York City corporate lawyer Lucy Toomey. She’s been told that she’ll be made partner at her law firm right after New Year’s Eve. But before she rings in the new year, Lucy is devastated when her older sister with special needs, Alice (Brittany Guess), unexpectedly dies. Lucy returns to Wisconsin to grieve. Back home, Lucy meets Alice’s former attorney (her ex-boyfriend from high school!) Peter (Dondre Whitfield), who informs Lucy of her sister’s unusual will.

Lucy is portrayed by Tatyana Ali. She’s best known for her role as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with Will Smith (SEE LINK ABOVE for all the laughs). Since then she’s appeared on several TV shows including The Young and the Restless (Roxanne) and Love That Girl!, and in films including Glory Road (Tina Malichi), Jawbreaker with Rose McGowan, and Kiss the Girls (Janell), among others. Christmas Everlasting premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 24 at 8 pm.
