Steve Memmolo is one of the oldest contestants on Season 15 of The Voice. The 35-year-old soul singer from Boston, Massachusetts is teased for looking like Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck but let’s face it, Steve is more charming and talented. He wowed everyone when he sang the funky Classics IV song “Spooky” for his Blind Audition, including Adam Levine and Jennifer Hudson who turned their chairs. (He chose Team Adam.)
After studying film at the University of Rhode Island where he graduated in 2006, Memmolo started a wedding band called Classic Yellow. He told his local newspaper that when prompted to sing on the spot, his go-to song is “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. (It’s also President Barack Obama’s go-to tune.) His fans hope he’ll get the chance to sing on The Voice which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.
