In the God Friended Me episode “Error Code 1.61,” Miles (Brandon Michael Hall) and Cara (Violett Beane) visit the Hayden Planetarium. There they meet Fliss, a young woman who’s searching for her old boyfriend who she thinks may have been “the one.”
Fliss is portrayed by Annaleigh Ashford. The triple threat actress, singer and dancer is known for her TV roles on American Crime Story (Elizabeth Cote) and Masters of Sex (Betty DiMello, see link above). On Broadway, she’s known for her role as Glinda in Wicked, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Lauren in Kinky Boots, and Essie Carmichael in You Can’t Take It with You, for which she won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Ashford will star next in the new musical film American Reject. God Friended Me airs Sundays at 8:30 pm on CBS.
