Of the 13 celebrities competing on Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars, some are more famous than others. But of course that depends on your age. (DWTS is expert at catering to different age and interest groups.) If you’re 40 or older, you’ll recognize John Schneider (Bo Duke on Dukes of Hazzard fame) and Nancy McKeon (Jo Polniaczek on Facts of Life) from the 1980s. If you’re 10 or older, you’ll recognized Milo Manheim from the 2018 Disney Channel TV movie Zombies, and singer/dancer Tinashe.

Tinashe (born Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe) is the eldest (she’s 25) child of college professors Michael and Aimie Kachingwe. Her father is from Zimbabwe; her mother is of Danish, Italian, and Norwegian descent. At the age of 14, Tinashe became a member of the girl group The Stunners (2007-2011). She launched her solo career with the debut studio album Aquarius in 2014. Since then she’s been on the road. She’s been the opening act for Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour, Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour in 2015, and in 2017, she opened for the Maroon 5 V Tour. Tinashe just released her third studio album, Joyride (see link above). On Dancing with the Stars, Tinashe is paired with pro partner Brandon Armstrong. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
