Shin Lim is the 23-year-old card magician competing on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent. The classically trained pianist had to give up music in college when he experienced carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. Now he’s one of the 22 acts who have advanced to the live semifinals on America’s Got Talent.
Right before his semi-finals performance, Lim was asked what he would do with the $1 million prize. “It might be a weird answer, but I am not going to do anything,” says Shin. He says he would do his best to live his life as normally as possible, and will save or invest the million dollars. “But I will not spend it. I am a pretty stingy guy, and I never spend money. Now I don’t spend money so I won’t spend this.” That is, if he gets the chance! America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
