On Growing Up Hip Hop, the good news is Boogie — son of Damon Dash — is released from rehab. The bad news is when he’s released “temptation strikes.” While Pepa and her son Tyran go to family therapy, Kristinia DeBarge, daughter of James DeBarge, meets her cousin Kendall “Kyndall” Ferguson for the first time ever. Kristinia worries, “You never know what people’s intentions are,” while Kyndall says she’s “super nervous” but she’s also excited to meet her cousin.
Cousin Kyndall is daughter of Kristinia’s uncle El DeBarge, who was born Eldra Patrick “El” DeBarge. There were 10 children in the DeBarge family, born and raised in Detroit. El DeBarge has released five solo albums including his last, Second Chance in 2010.
