TheAngel City Chorale (ACC) of Los Angeles warmed the hearts of America when they auditioned for Season 13 of America’s Got Talent. The 160 male and female multi-cultural singers on stage performed the Toto song “Africa.” To get the audience in the mood, the choir collectively snapped their fingers to make the sound of rain and invited the audience to join in. It was beautiful.

[Apt Pupil features Sue Fink’s song “Too Much of Nothing”]
The Angel City Chorale is led by conductor Sue Fink. She’s also known as a songwriter. With Paul Nelson and Carl Verheyen, Fink co-wrote the song “Too Much of Nothing” which is featured in the 1998 movie Apt Pupil (see link above)based on Stephen King’s novella of the same title. (Dante Marchi sang the song on the soundtrack.) Apt Pupil stars Ian McKellen as a Nazi war criminal living in California and the late Brad Renfro as his student. Beyond creepy. (Watch for David Schwimmer, who was starring in Friends at the time, as the next door neighbor.) New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
