The Season 4 episode of Growing Up Hip Hop, “No More Boogie Nights,” is all about trying to help Damon “Boogie” Dash. It’s no secret that the son of media mogul Damon “Dame” Dash has been struggling with alcohol. Boogie got a DUI earlier in the season. In this episode, everyone gets together for an intervention which quickly spirals out of control. Kristinia and Briana nearly come to blows while Boogie doesn’t look too pleased about the event either. That’s typical when it comes to interventions. What isn’t typical is having a camera crew filming your struggle during an intervention.
In one scene, Dame asks his son a loaded question, “What’s your problem?” Boogie calmly replies, “I would’ve respected you a lot more if you did this off camera.” Dame responds by yelling at the camera crew to “turn the cameras off.” Dame gets angry, “You heard him say it, right? Get the f–k out!” We see the door close and according to VH1, “on the brink of destruction, Boogie checks into rehab.” Growing Up Hip Hop airs Thursdays at 9pm on VH1.
