The 20/20 episode “A Killing on the Cape” investigates the 2002 rape and murder of Christa Worthington. The 46-year-old fashion writer was found stabbed to death in her Cape Cod home in Truro, Massachusetts. Local garbage collector, Christopher McCowen, was found guilty of rape, murder and aggravated burglary and is serving three life sentences without parole. His attorney, Gary Pelletier, is gathering new evidence and hopes to get a new trial. ABC 20/20 senior legal correspondent Sunny Hostin interviews McCowen by phone.

ABC 20/20 senior legal correspondent Sunny Hostin was born Asunción Cummings and raised in the Bronx, New York. After graduating from Binghamton University, she earned her law degree from Notre Dame Law School. Hostin started out as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s antitrust division and then became a federal prosecutor specializing in child sex crimes. She launched her TV career as a commentator for Court TV and then joined the FOX News show The O’Reilly Factor for its “Is It Legal?” segments. In 2014, Hostin started to appear on ABC’s talk show The View. Hostin is married to orthopedic surgeon Emmanuel Hostin. They have two children. 20/20 airs Saturdays at 9pm on ABC.
