The Season 13 premiere of America’s Got Talent had a little of everything — music, comedy, dance, rap, and then there was the performance of The Sacred Riana. Riana is a young woman wearing a little girl’s red romper. She carries a creepy doll wearing a matching outfit. She doesn’t say anything on stage. Her long black hair covers her face, and she has a dramatic twitch. She suddenly drops the doll on stage and approaches the judges. She focuses on Mel B and performs a trick involving an old newspaper clip about a fatal fire and suicide. Simon Cowell hits his buzzer but the rest of the judges think her act iss original and freaky. They’re not the only AGT judges to think so. The Sacred Riana from Indonesia won Season 2 of Asia’s Got Talent in 2017.
[David Foster was nominated for an Oscar for The Bodyguard soundtrack]
One of the three judges of Asia’s Got Talent is David Foster. The Canadian-born composer, producer and songwriter has won 16 Grammy Awards and has worked with everyone from Michael Jackson and Madonna to Barbara Streisand and Seal (Heidi Klum’s ex-husband). Foster is the ex-husband of Yolanda Foster, former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After appearing on 28 episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and after four years of marriage, they announced their plans to divorce in 2015. New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
