It’s Celebrity Duet time on American Idol. And 16-year-old country singer Layla Spring from Kentucky gets to sing the Sugarland hit “Stuck Like Glue” with Sugarland. The band was founded in 2002 by Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush and became a trio after hiring Jennifer Nettles. They were known to play at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, Georgia, the nightclub Nettle’s former husband Todd Van Sickle owned. Hall left the group in 2005 around the same time they were nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy. Nettles and Bush continue to perform together as a duo and have since won a Grammy for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their 2009 song “Stay”. (They also received two Grammy nominations for “Life in a Northern Town” and “It Happens.”)
