In the Modern Family episode “CHiPs and Salsa,” while Cam (Eric Stonestreet) gets to participate in a police ride-along, Haley (Sarah Hyland) introduces her grandparents to her loopy boss Nicole Rosemary Page, owner of NERP. Nicole is looking for a product with “the magical properties of peppers,” so Haley suggests that Gloria (Sofia Vergara) sell her salsa to her boss. The taste test doesn’t go well.

Haley’s boss Nicole Rosemary Page is portrayed by Academy Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino. She is known for her roles in the Woody Allen film Mighty Aphrodite (Linda Ash), Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (Romy, see link above), Whit Stillman’s Barcelona, and Robert Redford’s Quiz Show (Sandra Goodwin), among others. The Harvard graduate is the daughter of actor Paul Sorvino. She is married to actor Christopher Backus; they have four children. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC.
