The Top 24 singers on American Idol get to sing duets with celebrities this week. While sweet 16-year-old Layla Spring from Kentucky sings “Stuck Like Glue” with Sugarland, long-haired rocker Cade Foehner gets to jam with fierce Scottish rock star Bishop Briggs. For the performance, Cade wears a black leather jacket and Briggs wears a bright yellow t-shirt and Scottish plaid pants. The 25-year-old Briggs is best known for her 2016 single “River.” She’ll sing the hit with Idol contestant Trevor McBane aka the Man in Black or the Man Under the Hat.

Born Sarah Grace McLaughlin, Briggs took her stage name from the town where she was born, Bishopbriggs, Scotland. Her cover of the INXS song “Never Tear Us Apart” is on the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack (see link above). Briggs is releasing her debut album “Church of Scars” on April 20. American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
