For the Bar Rescue episode “Back to the Bar: Don’t Call It a Comeback,” Jon Taffer sends chef Aaron McCargo, Jr. to check out The Comeback Sports Bar & Grill (originally Barlow’s). Taffer and the Bar Rescue crew renovated the Tucker, Georgia (population 1,827) bar in 2013. Has a lot changed in four years? Not that much. When McCargo arrived at The Comeback and told the owner Susan Wood that he was surprised to see Nikki behind the bar, Susan said, “I can care about the almighty dollar or I can care about people.” When asked if she’s still drinking on the job, Susan says two shots is her limit.

After Bar Rescue, in 2016, The Comeback business owner Susan Wood ran for City Council in the town of Tucker, which is about 15 miles east of Atlanta. Susan won one of the six seats available on the City Council and won the most votes for her district (430 votes, or 20 percent). According to BarRescueUpdates, The Comeback Bar closed in November 2017. New episodes of Bar Rescue air Sundays at 10pm on Paramount Network.
