On the Bar Rescue episode “Back to the Bar: Don’t Call It a Comeback,” Jon Taffer visits three bars he tried to help. One of the three is still up and running (Lona’s City Limits Cantina in Long Beach, California. The other two have closed — The Comeback in Tucker, Georgia and Dimples in Burbank, California. Dimples was known as the first karaoke bar in the U.S. where many celebrities had been spotted singing on stage including Charlize Theron (Pat Benatar’s “Love Is a Battlefield”), and Katy Perry and Twilight star Robert Pattinson tried a BoyzIIMen song, among others. Taffer helped owner Sal Ferraro with the Dimples decor and menu. But Ferraro was facing a 60-day eviction and according to Taffer Ferraro couldn’t shake off his “perv” ways with the female clientele, among other things. Dimples closed on April 4, 2015. New episodes of Bar Rescue air Sundays at 10pm on Paramount Network.
