In the NCIS: Los Angeles episode “Warrior of Peace,” the father of Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) has been apprehended by the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service. The American government has been told that Iran is willing to release two American photographers who are being held hostage in Iran in exchange for Callen’s father, Nikita Aleksandr Reznikov, the former Major in the KBG. (Just like in real life, Russia’s ties with Iran are strong.) When Callen sets out to find an alternative to keep his father from being sent to Iran, he’s warned by his boss Shay Mosley (Nia Long), that anything done to try to stop it (the hostage exchange) will be considered an act of treason.
Nikita Aleksandr Reznikov (formerly known as Garrison) is portrayed by Daniel J. Travanti. He’s well recognized for his roles as Captain Frank Furillo on Hill Street Blues and President Richard Mills on Prison Break (President Richard Mills), among others. NCIS: Los Angeles airs Sundays at 9pm on CBS, right after the new crime drama Instinct starring Alan Cumming.
[NOTE about streaming: Cable cutters can watch a live stream of any CBS show through Amazon Prime or CBS ALL-ACCESS. Both options offer free trials.]
