The auditions for American Idol this season are over. Now everyone heads to Hollywood and performs again for judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan but this time at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. One of the first singers up is Trevor McBane, the 22-year-old goat farmer from Savannah, Oklahoma. He’s also known as the Man under the Hat and the Man in Black.
The other Man in Black is Johnny Cash, and yes Trevor is a fan. “Johnny Cash is my dude. He was spooky, that’s what I like a lot,” says Trevor on American Idol. But when asked who his biggest influence is Trevor didn’t blink. It’s his 81-year-old Nan. When her husband died, Trevor took over the goat farm. She admits that she gets emotional when he sings. For his Blind Audition, Trevor sang “Colder Weather” by the Zac Brown Band. American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
