LA to Vegas is a new comedy on FOX about a group of underdogs who want to win. The pilot is set on the Friday night flight from LAX to Vegas and the returning flight on Sunday. The captain of the plane is Dave, who rocks a dark, cheesy mustache and soul patch.
Dave is portrayed by Dylan McDermott. He’s known for his roles on Stalker (Jack Larsen), Hostages (Duncan Carlisle), American Horror Story (Dr. Ben Harmon/Johnny Morgan), Dark Blue (Lt. Carter Shaw), and The Practice (lawyer Bobby Donnell), among others. McDermott is also recognized for his roles in the films Hamburger Hill (Sgt. Adam Frantz), Twister (Chris), Steel Magnolias (Julia Roberts’ husband Jackson, see link above), and Clint Eastwood’s In the Line of Fire (Al D’Andrea). LA to Vegas airs Tuesdays at 9pm on FOX, right after Lethal Weapon.
