In new medical drama series The Resident on FOX takes place at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. In the series premiere, it’s Dr. Devon Pravesh’s (Manish Dayal) first day as an intern. The idealistic intern is befriended by third-year resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins who has an unconventional approach to treating patients which Chief of Surgery Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) does not approve of. But Hawkins is onto Bell. He accuses Bell of killing patients and suggest that he become a TV doctor. “You have the looks for it,” Conrad says. (Well they all do, obviously!)
