In The Simpsons episode “Frink Gets Testy,” Mr. Burns fears that the world is coming to its end. So he asks Springfield’s (smart but mad) scientist Dr. Jonathan Frink to test everyone in town to determine who’s worth saving. According to Fox, “The results shake the Simpson family to their core.” But Frink will save Lisa, right?
[Before Eddie Murphy, Jerry Lewis played The Nutty Professor]
Dr. Jonathan Frink is voiced by Hank Azaria who once said that Dr. Frink was his favorite character to voice. Story goes when Azaria first ad-libbed a voice for Frink he did an impression of Jerry Lewis as Julius Kelp in The Nutty Professor, see link above. (Azaria is a huge Jerry Lewis fan.) Lewis later guest-starred as Frink’s father in The Simpsons 2003 episode “Treehouse of Horror XIV.” The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8pm on FOX, right before Family Guy.
