Who Is Allie’s Mother Carol In Hallmark’s ‘Christmas In Evergreen’?

In the Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movie Christmas in Evergreen, Allie (Ashley Williams) is a veterinarian who sets out to have the perfect Christmas with her boyfriend Spencer (Marcus Rosner). But he’s not an enthusiastic about the holidays as Allie. Lucky for Allie, at the airport she meets a handsome doctor (Ryan played by Teddy Sears) who also “believes” in Christmas. Before Allie leaves, her mother Carol picks up a snow globe and wishes for her daughter to be happy…and for a granddaughter.

Carol is portrayed by Barbara Niven. She’s known for her roles on Chesapeake Shores (Megan O’Brien), Cedar Cove (Peggy Bledon), Murder, She Baked (Delores Swensen), and One Life to Live (Liz Coleman Reynolds), among others. Fun fact: Niven was a fitness model too, see photos below. Christmas in Evergreen premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, December 2 at 8pm.

#ThrowbackThursday: When I started my acting career as a single mom in Portland, Oregon, it was a huge leap of faith. To supplement it I taught Jazzercise, did commercials and modeled as much as possible. But because I’m only 5’4-3/4″ – if I stretch I say I’m 5’5″ ?— I could only do Petites for companies like Macy’s and Fitness modeling. But it was perfect timing, because Aerbocis & Fitness were just coming into vogue. Until then women didn’t work out or celebrate fitness like we do now. My body just naturally was kinda of “muscled” just from Aerobics (not weights) so I got lots of work. I was blessed to represent Nike, and also modeled for many different fitness products and machines. It was a great start and I was very, very grateful for the work. #nike #throwback ✨
