In the Blue Bloods episode “Common Grounds,” while Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) deals with the death of an inmate, Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) takes on a case that is close to his heart. Danny is trying to protect a nurse (like his late wife Linda) who was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The nurse’s name is Faith Madson.
[That’s Jessie as Carole King in Beautiful]
Faith Madson is portrayed by Broadway star Jessie Mueller. She won a Tony and a Grammy for her role in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Prior to hitting it big on Broadway, Mueller acted for the Chicago Shakespeare Theater after graduating from Syracuse University. She made her Broadway debut in 2011 in the revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (for which she was nominated for a Tony Award.) Since then she’s starred in Into the Woods (Cinderella), The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and Waitress. In 2018, Mueller will play Julie Jordan in the 2018 revival of Carousel at the Imperial Theatre. Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10pm on CBS.
[NOTE about streaming: Cable cutters can watch a live stream of any CBS show through Amazon Prime or CBS ALL-ACCESS. Both options offer free trials.]
