The new CBS sitcom 9JKL is about Josh (Mark Feuerstein), a newly divorced out-of-work Hollywood actor who returns to New York. He lives in an apartment sandwiched between his parents and his brother Andrew (David Walton) who is a successful surgeon and married to a beautiful woman (Liza Lapira).

The mother, Judy, is portrayed by Linda Lavin. The triple-threat star Lavin is known for her roles on Mom (Phyllis), The Good Wife (Joy Grubick), Sean Saves the World (Lorna), The O.C. (Sophie Cohen), Alice (Alice Hyatt), and Barney Miller (Det. Janice Wentworth), among others. Lavin won a Tony for her lead role in Broadway Bound. 9JKL airs Mondays at 9pm on CBS.
