In the Supergirl episode “The Faithful,” investigative reporter Kara (Melissa Benoist) looks into a secretive new cult. The leader of the cult, Thomas Coville, tells his followers “When you look into the eyes of God, you do not forget.” While snooping around, Kara discovers that Coville has a mysterious connection to Supergirl. What she’s trying to figure out is his motive and to stop him from recruiting more girls. Thomas Coville is portrayed by guest star Chad Lowe.
As an actor Chad Lowe is known for his roles on Pretty Little Liars (Byron Montgomery), 24 (Reed Pollock), ER (Dr. George Henry), Melrose Place (Carter Gallavan), Life Goes On (Jesse McKenna), and Spencer (Spencer Winger) among others. Lowe is also an accomplished TV director (Pretty Little Liars, Life in Pieces, Bones). He will direct the November 20 episode of Supergirl titled “Wake Up.” And yes, he is the brother of actor Rob Lowe (photo below). Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm on CW.
