On the Below Deck episode “Blindsided,” Leigh Anne Tuohy, the woman who inspired Sandra Bullock’s character in The Blind Side movie, is on the yacht with friends. The group proves to be a challenge to Chef Matt Burns.
Tuohy is a wealthy interior designer in Texas who became the legal guardian of football player Michael Oher. Moneyball author Michael Lewis first wrote about Tuohy and Oher in his 2006 book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game. Then it was adapted for the big screen in 2009. Bullock won an Oscar for her performance. Oher played college football at Ole Miss before he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens and became a Super Bowl champion (XLVII). Below Deck airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
