On the Wahlburgers episode “Magic Mark,” while Donnie Wahlberg (Blue Bloods) encourages his mother Alma to cook a meal for the new corporate employee in Hingham, Massachusetts, movie star Mark Wahlberg and chef Paul Wahlberg travel to Las Vegas. They’re in Sin City to attend a VIP party at the Wahlburgers’ Vegas restaurant.
To spice up the party, Paul enlists the famous magicians Penn and Teller to perform. Before the big event, Penn Jillette asks Paul if he wants to see a trick. Paul said, “Yeah, I’d love to.” Jillette explains that he’ll do a trick for Mark at the party but will explain first to Paul how it’s done. Paul’s excited by that: “Well, it’s magic. And magic is real. So this is really happening,” he says. That’s when Jillette bursts Paul’s bubble, “Noooo, magic is not real. Magic is tricks.” After a pregnant pause, Paul tells Jillette, “That’s very unsettling,” which Jillette thinks is hilarious. Paul looks like Jillette just gave him that really unhappy news about Santa. Wahlburgers airs Wednesdays at 9pm and 9:30pm on A&E.
