In the Lifetime movie The Wrong Crush, a creepy boy named Jake transfers to the high school where track star Amelia (Victoria Konefal) is a student. She’s trying to put her troubled past behind her (she had something to do with the death of her best friend) but Jake won’t let that happen. He’s obsessed with seeking revenge on Amelia.
Jake is portrayed by Ricardo Hoyos. The 21-year-old Canadian actor is known for his role as Zig Novak on Degrassi: Next Class, Degrassi TV, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Degrassi: Minis; and for his roles on Dino Dan (Ricardo) and The Jon Dore Television Show (Young Jon), among others. The Wrong Crush premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, July 2 at 8pm.
