Matt Alaeddine is the Canadian comedian and a contortionist competing on America’s Got Talent, Season 12. He goes by the nickname “Fat Matt” as he is considered the world’s fattest contortionist. Although he weighs about 450 lbs. he can stretch his leg behind his head, among other feats of flexibility. During an interview with Edmonton Journal, Matt (who is 5’11” tall) said, “Obesity – it’s working for me.”
With a cameraman from Edmonton Journal, Alaeddine then “ambushed” people waiting on a subway platform by performing a sumo-style split (on his groin). The audience was stunned. “I know you’re in shock but you can still clap,” Matt told them. Matt auditioned on the one and only season of Canada’s Got Talent (2012) but didn’t advance. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
